A Celebration!

We were very fortunate to be able to reschedule our Christmas with the kids and that everyone could be here. We had a really good time. It was my best Christmas present ever!

Since we have a well known chain saw artist living in Storm Lake, and we happened to have this tree stump looking kind of blah -- a long time dream became a reality.

Our Eagle has landed!!

New Family Member

The newest member of the Overmohle clan made his appearance Wednesday, August 19, at 8:43 a.m. Please help us welcome Evan Jerry Overmohle. He weighed in at a strapping 8 lbs. 2 oz. and was a lengthly 22 inches long. Chrissy is doing great but is so glad that her doctor wanted her to deliver a week early. Who knows how big this guy would have been. Brother Dylan is still not quite sure about this new addition, but he did manage to say "Hi Eben" It's a start!

At a recent Overmohle family reunion, grandson Dylan, was thrilled with all the heavy equipment parked near the shelter house due to street renovations in town. He wanted to spend almost all of his time near them, and Papa (Mike) obliged and started teaching him the names of the equipment. Dylan's favorite was the back hoe. He learned the name very quickly. Later in the afternoon, we all wanted to have a picture of Great-Grandpa and all the great-grandchildren that were there.

After it was done, Dylan wanted to go back over to the equipment, so Papa told him that if he said "backhoe" they could go over. The words didn't come out. Papa tried again and still the words wouldn't come out, so no move was made to walk to the backhoe. Dylan, thinking I'll show you, grabbed great-grandpa's hand and led him to the equipment. And do you know what Dylan said when Papa got over there?? He looked right at him and said BACKHOE!! There's more than one way to get what you want.
